A PRISONER TO THIS DEVICE




So I loved this device,

Like a bee drawn to the sun.

It became my eyes,

My ears and my life.

It was my new home,

The daily feed was my food,

Their stories were my book,

And The double tap was my heart.

Time in Time,

I danced to the internet rhyme,

Slowly forgetting,

To walk and write,

Without the thumbs up and likes,

I had to crawl and cry.

As I fell apart,

Trying to win the cyber game,

What had I become,

A prisoner to this device.

My playlist was ruined, and I’m sure your playlist was too.
