TEENAGE-SPIRITUALITY

TEENAGE-SPIRITUALITY Would you call me crazy? If I’d say many teenagers or probably most of them are spiritual. No! I’m not talking about enlightenment or teen-yogis, but a very different kind of spirituality. Spirituality isn’t the fanciest among teenagers and the two words of my title Teenage and Spirituality is less found together and more often found away from each other. Typically, for one to find flavor in spirituality he/she must be aged, retired, or have a life-threatening issue with spirituality being the last place of help. This may be the common thought in the air but isn’t always the truth, people of all kinds, all ages, and even problem-free adopt spirituality. Simply because spirituality comes to find you. When the world believes spirituality is connecting to a higher self or finding peace within, the young adults define spirituality in their very own way. Pop music and its funky beats seem to be their mantra of peace. They journey along the groves and rhythm to

Falling in Love with Zara

“SHIT!” I told myself, after missing the early bus and stranding myself in that godforsaken bus stop. The next bus was miles away, and I had to wait for an hour. No one ever came to the bus stop; it was always me, the gloomy sun, and the dusty bench. A shallow breeze carried some dust into my eye, and I rubbed furiously to fix my vision. Something felt canny that day, fewer cars passed by, the sunlit the sky with a strange shade of orange and the most remarkable thing happened! While I was sitting like an idiot, thrown my legs on top of each other and being a lazy sloth, and my hands scratching my head, I noticed a click-clack sound approaching towards me; I picked my head up to see what it was. Damn! It was Zara; her red heels kissed the concrete road producing the rhyme. Her skinny black jeans revealed her curves, a little baggy around her foot but perfectly stitched around the thighs. Like a fish on bait, my eyes were hooked to her hips, swinging side to side, mimicking a clock’

Entrepreneurs - the Superheroes

Entrepreneurs are the lighthouse of the modern sea of business, but when the world comes to a standstill with the pandemic leaving its footprints across countries, what can the entrepreneurs do? Global companies are at death’s door, and the challenge of business continuity haunts CEOs. Employees are stumped by the fear of losing their jobs, while the economy is off to a landslide. Entrepreneurs have always sprouted with innovation to smush away problems and bring in radical change, and now the burden of rescuing us is on their rubs. As the unlocking of the country from the clutches of the COVID -19 expands, a void of innovation opens. The gap in our defence against the virus is of paramount importance, and entrepreneurs with hawk eyes have identified the gap and are in pursuit of using this opportunity. The newer devices like UV-based sanitization, currency sanitizers, mobile disinfects, and more are classic examples of how the lighthouses are dispersing technology and proving ch

Lessons from a Snail

A motivational story   The crimson sun was high, and the season of blossom and fruits was just a few days away. In the gardens of nature, there lived a snail. Slowest of them all, but carried a shell of wisdom. As summer was fading and the grand season of spring was arriving in a few days, the snail marked an apple tree; the large apple tree was going to be a challenging climb for the slow creature, but the juicy apples at the top would certainly be worth the hassle. The snail dragged itself to the bottom of the tree, and diligently started its climb; across the apple tree, stood a tall and dark oak tree. The oak tree was home to a pair of grey owls; the snail had caught their attention. The owls mocked the snail, “look at that slow-poke, barely moving an inch in an hour. The poor fellow has no idea that there are no apples in the tree.” The snail did not mind and kept itself on the track to the top, and the owls went back about minding their business. As the last light o

Mirror Mirror

Mirror mirror on the wall, Who's the scariest of them all? Is it the invisible virus I can't see? Or the perverts who want to rape me? When a mask around my face, Protects me from a disease. Why can't a body full of clothes  Protect me from rape? Mirror mirror on the wall, I'll tell you my feelings once in for all, I'm woman living in fear, But society doesn't care at all! When the great minds  find a vaccine for the virus, I hope they find one for rapists too.

Cigar between her lips

The cigar between her lips When her fingers with red nails, Places a cigarette between her lips, Why is she shameless and a bitch? When a man smokes, Cigar after cigar,  it's a just a boys thing! Then what stops the same to be a girl's thing? Why do you judge the cigarette between her lips? From the organ between her legs. She breathes the same air, And speaks the same words, And remember, She and he are just  genders. #judge a woman like you judge a man

Sinking Heart

Some people promise the world And they don't even gift themselves They show you love But leave you unloved They teach you to run  And break your legs  Cast spells and magic  And Leave you cursed  Mix up all the bright colors  And then burn you to ash Sweeten the lovely flavors And slit your tongue They water the plants And pluck away your flowers  Build ships of faith  And let you sail on broken sands  Give you castle tours And lock you in the dungeon  Tattoo your skin with joy  But the needle dipped in poison Swim in the clouds they say  And bury you 6 feet deep  It's a twist of pain and fate  is this a test of an illusion? With my  damaged heart is the ending.

PLAN-B

The inner voice in my head was buzzing all night, I conflicted with myself, and the rage of sleeplessness blistered all over me. I wanted to pursue writing as my career but the thoughts that I would fail at it were chewing on my brain. My family wanted me to get an MBA and I wasn't very keen on agreeing. So I settled at my study table and jotted my plan of how I could become a writer.  What if I fail?  this question drilled fear right into my heart.    My mother, suggested I do both. To be a writer was PLAN- A and the MBA was PLAN- B. I sat arguing with my inner voice again that PLAN- B was just a safety net in case I failed as a writer. But my inner voice was strong and arrogant, claiming that PLAN B isn't needed. Soaking in confusion I jumped into the sofa with my cat. My cat being cat cared less about me and was passionate about licking her fur. Like a fool I consulted my cat what would you do? PLAN-A or PLAN-B or both. She left the sofa all to me and basked in on the wi

DEAR BIRTHDAY,

Dear Birthdays, Everybody’s calendar has one day marked, the day no one could ever forget, a date tattooed  on our brains forever. Yes, that’s you “Birthdays!”. You come without delay and denial each year, but truly what are you? Do you come to remind us that we are now older? because if you are, then the warning that age is catching up to us is not the figment we perceive. Very ironically, we celebrate this warning and live lavishly. Call for a party and spend the day in delight. Maybe you showcase a different meaning, do you return every year to remind us of the significance of that day? nudge our memories to remind us that we were born this day and our hearts beat for the first time out of the womb. If you do come for this reason, then the light of your significance only brightness an opportunity for us to again celebrate and cut cakes. Whatever you may come for, each year you meet a different person. You met the younger me and once you pass you will never meet the same me aga

FIND THE RIGHT PASSION

Passion serves as the purpose of life, it keeps our hearts filled and drives us with intense enthusiasm towards our goals and demands a lot of hard work, many seem to pour their hard work into the wrong areas or are puzzled about what they are passionate about. Here are 6 simple steps that help you choose the right passion. Whether you want to find the right passion or decide if the passion you already are pursuing is the right one, these 6 steps are all you need.   1.      BEGIN WITH THE RIGHT MINDSET, Start with the right step, develop the right kind of mindset. Remember you are here to find your passion so set your mind to it, steady your mind and insert the belief that no matter how hard or easy it is going to be you will find a passion. Here's an example to understand the above statement- Imagine if you walk into a showroom that sells cars with the opinion that no car there was good enough! Then no matter how great the car is or how go
