Sinking Heart

Some people promise the world
And they don't even gift themselves
They show you love
But leave you unloved
They teach you to run
And break your legs
Cast spells and magic
And Leave you cursed
Mix up all the bright colors
And then burn you to ash
Sweeten the lovely flavors
And slit your tongue
They water the plants
And pluck away your flowers
Build ships of faith
And let you sail on broken sands
Give you castle tours
And lock you in the dungeon
Tattoo your skin with joy
But the needle dipped in poison
Swim in the clouds they say
And bury you 6 feet deep
It's a twist of pain and fate
is this a test of an illusion?
With my  damaged heart is the ending.
